Thanks for confirming your subscription!
Now that you’re signed up, let's make sure my emails actually reach you. They need to show up in your inbox (not spam) if you’re going to reap the benefits — which is the whole point.
Here's how to keep my emails out of spam jail:
1st, add me to your contacts
Add graham@grahamburke.net to your address book or contacts list. This tells your email provider I'm one of the good guys, and not some rando trying to steal your credit card.
2nd, move me to your Primary inbox
Gmail users:
Look for one of my emails in your Promotions or Updates tab, drag it to the Primary tab, and click "Yes" when asked if you want future messages delivered there.
Outlook users:
Right-click on my email and select "Always Move to Inbox."
Apple Mail users:
Click on my email and select "Add to VIP" to prioritize my messages.
3rd, engage with my emails
Open my next email, read it several times to make sure every golden nugget sinks in, and reply as follows:
“Hey Graham, this is by far the most brilliant email I’ve ever read. Incredible. I’m going to name my firstborn (or my dog or hamster) after you.”
You don’t have to follow this script to the letter (though you can if you like), but please reply with something.
After that, just click on links that interest you and reply with the occasional question or comment. Your email platform will use your engagement to decide whether you want to see my content.
4th, check your spam folder occasionally
If you don't see an email from me for 3 or 4 days, check “Spam”. I’m probably trapped there, impatiently waiting for you to come and spring me.
Read the email (You missed it, remember?). Then mark it as "Not Spam" so your provider knows not to make the same mistake again.
That should do it. Thanks again for signing up. This is gonna be fun.
Later, Graham
P.S. If you have any questions or need help with anything, just email me at graham@grahamburke.net. I read every message and I'll get back to you ASAP.
